I was so passionate about the subject that I am proud to be one of the co-founders of the Husl. I am very excited to share my story with you:
My Background As A Husl’r
The Husl is a symbol of the struggle that “musicians, dreamers and creatives” endure in order to chase their dreams. Take a step back and look at the bigger picture: The Husl is a disruptive entity that deploys smart contract technology to promote economic freedom by removing the middleman and by transparency to empower artists.
Personal Story
I landed in Los Angeles, California 16 years ago when I was 25 years old. I went there to perform at the Magic Castle…and never left. After deciding to stay in LA, I initially made a living as a licensed street performer and panhandler on the Santa Monica promenade and at Venice Beach. I slept in my car for over three months to save money. Then, I got this idea to do a documentary on other street performers.
Here is one video I made with an incredible seven year-old street performer in Los Angeles who was doing very well.
As I made more videos I made more connections, and as I made more connections in this incredible community, more doors opened up for me. The next thing I knew, I was being asked (by talent agents who saw my interviews on YouTube) to be a red carpet reporter at A-list celebrity events. It was an honor to get to know Kim Kardashian from back in the day when she got her first gig on Nickelodeon.

After interviewing talent thousands of times at events for years, I ended up meeting lots of people in Hollywood. I studied economics in college, and a few years later I became the VP of Finance for an indie film studio on the Jim Henson studio lot. As a creative, my field is that of a professional magician as well as being a musician.

Some time ago, I left behind my identity as a “creative” as I continued onto my next adventure in life.
Going Full Circle
To make a long story short I eventually discovered cryptocurrency and blockchain technology. At first I felt the excitement I think every new person feels when they discover it. They are excited about the potential investment gains of this innovative asset class, and are also fascinated with the technology. I not only was fascinated by the innovation, this is actually how I came full circle back to my love of the arts.
As I stated in my investment thesis:
“I knew this would change our world. I saw blockchain as the means to fix the problems in the entertainment industry.”
